Pull back, let fly, bonk the robots

Pull back from the stone, pick an in-turn or an out-turn and let it go, then sweep in front of it to carry it further and keep it straight. Forty quick curling puzzles, matches against a bot or a friend, and a daily end to share.

Curling Club is top-down curling on a bright club rink, with a crowd in bobble hats packed along the boards. Drag back from the stone in the hack to set the line and the weight, choose an in-turn or an out-turn, and let go. A dotted path shows where an unswept stone would curl, and it bends more as the stone slows down, just like on real ice. Once it is sliding, tap or rub the ice ahead of it to sweep: the stone runs further and straighter, but the brooms get tired, so save them for the moment it matters.
The forty puzzles are spread over four clubs, from the Village Rink to the Night Final. Each one sets out a few stones and a job to do with the stones you are given: draw to the button, take out the red guard, freeze to a stone, raise your own stone into the four-foot, split a pair, hit and roll behind cover, or score two. Every puzzle has three stars to earn, for the goal, for doing it within par and for stopping on the marked spot, with instant retry and an undo for the last stone. The physics is real and deterministic, so the same throw always lands the same way, and the deciding knock plays out in slow motion.
Match mode is a proper game of curling, end by end, against a bot at three skill levels or for two players on one device, over two to eight ends with the hammer passing to the side that did not score. The daily end gives everyone the same position for the day, with a score you can share and a streak to keep, and Draw Practice is an endless run of draws to a moving target where three misses end it and your high score is saved. Press P to pause and M to mute.
Start every throw with the dotted path. It shows where an unswept stone would curl, and the curl grows as the stone slows down, so pick an in-turn or an out-turn that bends the stone round guards towards the target. Because the physics is deterministic, the same throw always lands the same way, so when a puzzle goes wrong, change one thing at a time: the line, the weight or the turn.
Sweeping makes the stone run further and straighter, but the brooms get tired. Throw slightly light and sweep near the end, when the curl is strongest, rather than sweeping from the start. For three stars you need the goal, par and a stop on the marked spot, so precise weight matters more than power. In Match mode, remember that the hammer passes to the side that did not score, and try the bot at its lowest skill level first. Draw Practice is a good way to learn weight before the harder clubs.
Yes. Curling Club is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account needed. Your Draw Practice high score is saved in the browser you play in, and the daily end gives you a score to share.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you drag back from the stone to throw, then tap or rub the ice ahead of it to sweep. On a computer you drag with the mouse, or aim and set the weight with the arrow keys, throw with Space and hold Space to sweep.
Yes. Match mode is a full game of curling, end by end, for two players on one device, or against a bot at three skill levels. A match lasts two to eight ends, and the hammer passes to the side that did not score.
Sweeping the ice in front of a sliding stone makes it travel further and straighter. The brooms get tired, though, so you cannot sweep the whole way. Save it for the moment it matters, such as carrying a stone past a guard or onto the button.
Aim, time it and let physics do the rest.

Tie the balloons, snip the strings, float it home

Pull the arm, clear the shelf

Stack it, balance it, hold it for three

Place the parts, launch the ball

Time the bounce, land the trick

Tilt the board, mind the holes

Flick it, mind the fan, nothing but bin

Pull back the ball, bring the house down

Drop, match, grow the melon

Hop the road, dodge the train, ride the log

Step right up and pop a cork

Pack it, throw it, duck!

Seven letters, one sweet centre

Train all week, win the tournament

Tuck, carve, send it

Catch the comets, dodge the rocks

Ten stages, big bosses, one plucky fighter
