Match, listen and remember the animals

Press the glowing key and the rocket climbs. Type single letters, picture words or short phrases, and after ten exercises the rocket lands on the moon and a new planet sticker goes in the book.
Did you like Type Rocket?
Type Rocket is a first typing game for children from four to ten. A little rocket waits on its launch pad with a ginger cat at the porthole, and every correct key lifts it a bit higher: past the clouds, through a sky that turns from morning blue to starry purple, past a smiling planet and all the way to the moon. A round is ten exercises, so a quick flight takes a few minutes, and it ends with the rocket landing on the moon, a shower of confetti and a planet sticker for the sticker book.
Three age buttons set the content. At 4+ one big letter fills the card and its key glows on the on-screen keyboard, starting with the home row and moving on to the whole alphabet. At 6+ the child types forty two- and three-letter picture words such as cat, sun and dog, letter by letter, with the next key lit up. At 8+ come longer picture words and short phrases like TWO CATS or RED HAT, with the space bar, backspace and a hand guide that shows which finger reaches each key, plus a gentle words-per-minute count on the result card. There is no timer while typing and nothing to lose: a wrong key gives the rocket a little wobble, and after a second miss the right key lights up.
It works with a real keyboard, a mouse or big touch keys on a phone, and shift or caps lock are never needed. The daily flight is the same for everyone each day and earns a gold daily sticker, while stars and a learned meter for each age keep track of progress, all saved in your own browser. Good brain training for small fingers, and calm enough to relax with.
Type Rocket is about pressing the right key, not the fastest one. There is no timer while typing and every correct key lifts the rocket a little higher, so let children look for the glowing key before they press. A wrong key only gives the rocket a wobble, and after a second miss the right key lights up.
Start at 4+ even with a child who knows a few letters: one big letter fills the card, and the exercises begin on the home row before the whole alphabet comes in. At 6+ the picture words are typed letter by letter with the next key lit up, so there is always a clear next step. At 8+ follow the hand guide that shows which finger reaches each key; it can feel slower at first, but that is the habit the level is built around. Phrases such as TWO CATS need the space bar, and Backspace clears a wrong letter. Shift and caps lock are never needed at any age. A round is ten exercises and takes a few minutes, which makes the daily flight an easy habit.
Yes. Type Rocket is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account needed. Stars, stickers and the learned meter for each age are saved in your own browser, so the next flight carries on from there.
Yes. On a phone or tablet the game shows big on-screen keys to tap, and it also works with a mouse. With a real keyboard you simply type the glowing letter, without shift or caps lock. Esc pauses while typing and M mutes on the menus.

Only at 8+, where the result card shows a gentle words-per-minute count. There is no timer while typing at any age, so the count is there for interest rather than pressure, and stars and a learned meter track progress for each age.
