File, polish and sparkle ten tiny nails

Lather up with the shower, blow-dry with a puff of steam, then cut, curl, braid and colour a client's hair to match their wish list. Twelve hair textures from sleek straight to cloud coils, ombré and dip-dye, hats, flowers and glasses, a curtain-and-camera-flash reveal, a daily client and a Free Studio with no brief at all.
Did you like Hair Studio?
Hair Studio is a cosy salon game. A client sits down in the chair in front of a mirror ringed with bulbs and hands you their wish list as a row of picture cards: a wedding ring for a bridal updo, a football for a sporty ponytail, a rainbow for a colour pop, a snowflake for a bobble hat. The hair is drawn as layered strands rather than a picture, so it really changes as you work: twelve base textures across straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, from sleek and silky to spring curls, ringlets and cloud coils, each in four lengths from a pixie to long.
Every visit starts with a quick wash. Drag the shower head over the hair until the bubbles pile up, then sweep the dryer across it in a puff of steam. Next, drag the scissors along a guide line to cut to a pixie, a bob, shoulder length or long, or just tap the length you want. Curl it, straighten it, braid it, pin it into a bun or tie a ponytail, add or remove bangs, move the part to the side. Pick from 21 colours in seven families, then add highlights, an ombré or a dip-dye in a second colour, and finish with 29 accessories: clips, bands, flowers, hats and glasses, each one recolourable. Tap a card or drag it onto the client, and undo is always one key away.
Press Reveal and the curtains close, the camera flashes, the salon applauds and the look is scored out of 100 on length, style, colour family and accessories, with stars at 60, 80 and 95 and a short reason for each part. Clients who leave beaming build your happy streak, the high score the game keeps for you, and there is a new daily client every day. If you would rather just relax, Free Studio has no brief and no score: pick the client's skin tone, texture, age and build, add glasses, a hearing aid or a wheelchair, keep six favourite looks in the browser and save any of them as a photo. It plays with a mouse and keyboard on a desktop or with a finger in portrait on a phone.
Read the wish list before you pick up any tools in Hair Studio. Each picture card points to part of the look, such as a wedding ring for a bridal updo or a snowflake for a bobble hat, and the score out of 100 is based on length, style, colour family and accessories. All four count, so check each one before you press Reveal, and afterwards read the short reason given for each part to see what to change next time.
Work in the salon's own order: wash with the shower until the bubbles pile up, dry, then cut along the guide line or tap the length you want. Choose the colour family from the brief first and add highlights, an ombré or a dip-dye afterwards. Accessories can be recoloured, so match them to the hair or the brief. Undo is always one key away, so trying something out costs nothing. Clients who leave beaming build your happy streak, so the daily client is worth a visit each day, and Free Studio is there when you just want to experiment.
Yes. Hair Studio is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account needed. The game keeps your happy streak as your high score, and in Free Studio you can keep six favourite looks in the browser.
Yes. On a phone it plays in portrait with a finger: drag the shower, dryer and scissors over the hair, and tap a card or drag it onto the client. On a desktop you use a mouse and keyboard, with Enter to reveal and Z to undo.
When you press Reveal, the look is scored out of 100 on length, style, colour family and accessories, with a short reason for each part. Stars are awarded at 60, 80 and 95 points.
Free Studio has no brief and no score. You choose the client's skin tone, texture, age and build, add glasses, a hearing aid or a wheelchair, and style as you like. You can keep six favourite looks and save any of them as a photo.
