Dress Rush
Style the client before the taxi honks

Stamp daisies, lemons, comets and cats onto one square tile, watch it repeat without a seam, then press the print onto a dress, a tote bag or a pair of cushions and see if it matches the client's brief.
Did you like Pattern Press?
Pattern Press is a textile print studio. You design one square tile: a background in a flat colour or a soft seamless gradient, then stamps on top — seventy-five motifs drawn in code, from daisies, monstera leaves and lemons to cats, comets, chevrons and terrazzo chips. Every stamp has a size, a turn and one of twenty-four inks, and a symmetry switch copies it in a mirror, four ways or as a full kaleidoscope. The tile repeats in every direction while you work, and anything that crosses an edge wraps round to the other side, so the repeat never shows a seam.
When the print is ready, press it. A giant wooden stamp comes down and the print lands on the product: a dress, a shirt or a scarf on the client, or a tote bag, a pair of cushions, a wall of wallpaper, a phone case or a wrapped gift on the display shelf, scaled to fit and following a few soft folds. In Clients mode every customer brings a brief as four picture cards — a mood (tropical, winter, retro, minimal, botanical or galaxy), a palette, a motif wish and a product — and the verdict scores the print out of 100 on palette, motifs, density and product, with stars at 60, 80 and 95. Each brief is a quick brain teaser of colour and spacing, and the clients are endless.
The Daily client is a fresh daily brief, the same for everyone that day; meet it with a star or more to grow your streak, a high score worth keeping. Free Studio has no brief and no score: everything is unlocked, you choose the model's skin tone, hair, shape and age, with glasses, a hearing aid or a wheelchair, and you can keep up to twelve prints in a library in your browser or save a photo as a PNG. It is a calm place to relax and make something pretty, with a gentle soundtrack you can mute.
In Pattern Press the verdict scores your print on palette, motifs, density and product, so treat the client's four picture cards as a checklist. Start with the mood and the palette: choose a background and inks that sit inside the palette, then stamp the motifs the client wished for. Density counts as well, so decide how full or open the tile should be before you fill it up.
Remember that you are designing one tile that repeats in every direction. Watch the repeat while you work rather than only the single square, because a gap or a cluster shows up again and again once it is tiled. Stamps that cross an edge wrap round to the other side, so you can place motifs right on the border without a seam. The symmetry switch is a quick way to fill a tile evenly: try mirror, four ways or the full kaleidoscope. Undo is there when a stamp lands wrong. If you would rather play with ideas first, Free Studio has no brief and no score.

Yes. On a phone you tap a motif to stamp it, or hold and drag it up onto the tile. On a computer you click or drag motifs, use the square brackets to resize, Q and E to turn and Enter to press the print.
The print can go on a dress, a shirt or a scarf worn by the client, or on a tote bag, a pair of cushions, a wall of wallpaper, a phone case or a wrapped gift on the display shelf. It is scaled to fit each product.
The Daily client brings a fresh brief each day, the same for everyone that day. Meet it with a star or more, which means a score of 60 or higher, and your streak grows. Clients mode has an endless line of briefs as well.

Seven letters, two minutes

Tap a group, watch the board crumble

Line up five, keep the board clear

Link the dots, close a square

Spot what changed

Bubble-blast through five seas

Look after the garden, make bird friends

Hear a loop, rebuild it, make your own

Hold to fly, swoop through the cave

Spot the friendly ghosts hiding in the mansion
