Triple Tiles
Tap the tiles, match three, clear the stack

A block of cubes stands on a turntable, every face marked with a symbol. Match two free cubes with the same symbol to lift them off, turn the stack to reach the ones round the back, and keep the matches quick to chain the score.
Did you like Mahjong Cubes?
Mahjong Cubes takes the old tile-matching game off the table and builds it into a block. Up to a hundred and twenty-four cubes stand on a turntable, each one showing the same symbol on every face. A cube is free when two of its sides that meet at an edge are open, so the corners and the top edges are where every game starts. Pick two free cubes with the same symbol and they lift off, the cubes behind them open up, and the shape slowly comes apart. Some of the best matches sit round the back, so turn the turntable a quarter at a time with Q and E, the arrows beside the stack or a sideways swipe.
There are twelve shapes, from an eight-pair Brick through Stairs, a Gate you can see through and a hollow Fortress, up to the five-by-five-by-five Grand Cube, and four symbol sets to play them in: fruit, gems, animals and glowing runes on dark stone. Every board is dealt by taking pairs off the finished shape in reverse, so there is always a way to clear it. If you paint yourself into a corner, Hint lights up a pair that keeps the board clearable, Shuffle deals the remaining symbols again and Undo puts the last pair back.
Timed rounds last three minutes. Every match puts two seconds back on the clock (it tops out at four minutes), quick matches inside four seconds of each other build a chain that multiplies the points, and clearing a shape adds fifteen seconds and moves you straight on to the next one, so it makes a quick brain workout with a high score to chase. Relaxed mode drops the clock so you can relax and take each shape at your own pace, with your best time kept for every one. Your high score, your best chain and the shapes you have cleared are saved in your browser.
In Mahjong Cubes a cube is free when two of its sides that meet at an edge are open, so every game starts at the corners and along the top edges. Look for pairs among those free cubes first, and turn the turntable a quarter at a time before you decide, because a matching symbol may be waiting round the back. Where you have a choice, take the pair that opens up more cubes behind it.
In timed rounds speed pays twice: every match adds two seconds, up to a maximum of four minutes, and matches made within four seconds of each other build a chain that multiplies the points. Clearing a shape adds fifteen seconds and moves you straight on to the next one. If you get stuck, Hint shows a pair that keeps the board clearable, Shuffle deals the remaining symbols again and Undo takes back the last pair. Relaxed mode has no clock, which makes it a good place to learn how the shapes open up before you race against time.
The goal in Mahjong Cubes is to take a shape built from cubes apart, pair by pair, until nothing is left. Every cube shows the same symbol on all of its faces, and the shape stands on a turntable. You can only take a cube that is free, which means two of its sides that meet at an edge must be open, so at the start the free cubes sit at the corners and along the top edges.
Pick two free cubes with the same symbol and they lift off, which opens up the cubes behind them. Some matching cubes are round the back of the shape, so turn the turntable a quarter at a time to see every side. If you get stuck, Hint lights up a pair that keeps the board clearable, Shuffle deals the remaining symbols again and Undo puts the last pair back.
A timed round starts with three minutes on the clock. Each match adds two seconds, up to four minutes, and matches made within four seconds of each other build a chain that multiplies the points. Clearing a shape adds fifteen seconds and moves you straight on to the next one, so the faster you match, the longer you keep going. Relaxed mode has no clock and keeps your best time for each shape. On a computer you click two free cubes, turn the stack with Q and E or the arrows beside it, press H for a hint, S to shuffle, U to undo, P to pause and M to mute. On a phone or tablet you tap the cubes and swipe sideways to turn the stack.
Mahjong Cubes builds on mahjong solitaire, the tile-matching game played alone with the tiles of the Chinese game of mahjong, in which you clear a stacked layout by taking matching free tiles in pairs. Kiloo's Mahjong Cubes turns the flat layout into a solid block of cubes on a turntable, so you look for pairs in three dimensions and turn the shape to find them.
There are twelve shapes, from an eight-pair Brick through Stairs, a Gate you can see through and a hollow Fortress up to the five-by-five-by-five Grand Cube, and four symbol sets: fruit, gems, animals and glowing runes on dark stone. Every board is dealt so that it can be cleared. Timed rounds make it a quick brain workout with a high score and a best chain to chase, while Relaxed mode suits players who would rather take each shape at their own pace. It runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and your high score, best chain and cleared shapes are saved there.

You clear a shape in Mahjong Cubes by removing every cube in pairs of free cubes with the same symbol. In timed rounds the aim is a high score, with quick matches building chains that multiply the points and each cleared shape adding fifteen seconds. In Relaxed mode you aim for your best time on each shape.
