Hook it into the pocket

Stand over a dead ball under the floodlights and swipe. The direction picks your target, the speed decides how hard you hit it, and a hooked swipe puts bend on it — enough to send the ball round the outside of the wall and back inside the far post.
Did you like Free Kick Frenzy?
Free Kick Frenzy puts you behind the ball at a night game, looking down the pitch at a goal, a wall and a keeper. Swipe from the ball and a dotted arc shows exactly where the shot is going, bend and all, right up to the moment you let go. Swipe straight and the ball goes straight; hook the swipe and it curls, and the dotted line curls with it. On a keyboard the arrows aim, space charges the power and A and D put left or right spin on it.
The wall is two to five men deep depending on the kick, it lines up on the near post, and it jumps a beat after you strike. That leaves you three ways through: over the top and down under the bar, round the outside with enough curl to bring it back, or hard and low inside the far post before the keeper can get across. The keeper reads the flight after a fraction of a second and commits, and the further he has to dive the longer he takes to get there — which is why the top corners are worth so much. Better keepers react sooner, reach further and see more of the bend coming, so the shot that beat the first keeper will be caught by the seventh.
Free Kick Run is ten kicks from changing distances and angles, with points for every goal and a bonus for the top corners and for bending it in. Sudden Death keeps going until you miss, and the keeper gets better with every goal you score. Both finish on a results card with goals, accuracy, your best streak and a stamped verdict on the night. The ball is proper pseudo-3D: drag, spin, a net that ripples when you find it, posts and a bar that ring, and a slow-motion replay on every goal.
In Free Kick Frenzy the dotted arc is your guide. It shows the real flight of the ball, curl included, until you let go, so take a moment to shape it before you finish the swipe. A straight swipe goes straight and a hooked swipe bends, and the speed of the swipe sets the power.
The wall lines up on the near post and jumps a beat after you strike, which leaves three ways through. You can chip over the top and down under the bar, curl the ball round the outside of the wall and back in, or drive it hard and low inside the far post before the keeper gets across. The keeper takes longer to reach shots that are far from him, so the top corners are the best targets and they also earn a bonus in Free Kick Run, as does bending it in.
Start with Free Kick Run, ten kicks from changing distances and angles, to learn how much curl each spot needs. Sudden Death is the harder test, because the keeper improves after every goal, so a shot that worked earlier may be saved later. Vary where you aim as the keepers get better.

Yes. On a phone or tablet you swipe from the ball to shoot and curve the swipe to bend it. On a computer you drag from the ball, or use the arrows to aim, Space for power and A and D for curl.
Hook your swipe and the ball curls, and the dotted arc bends with it so you can see the flight before you let go. On a keyboard, A and D add left or right spin to the shot.
