Nine holes, windmills and water

A full-size table under one lamp, real rolling and cushion bounces, and an aim guide that shows where the cue ball and the object ball will go. Play 8-ball against the CPU or a friend on the same screen, or take on Rush: ninety seconds on the clock, and every pot buys four more.
Did you like 8 Ball Rush?
8 Ball Rush is 3D pool in your browser. The table is a nine-foot tournament table with blue cloth, six pockets and an overhead lamp, and the balls roll, bounce off the cushions and knock into each other the way they do in a pool hall. You aim from behind the cue ball with a guide that draws the cue ball's path, the line the object ball will take and the cue ball's roll after contact, and you shoot with a power bar: pull it down, let go, and the cue strikes.
Two of the three modes are 8-ball. Play vs CPU puts you against a computer rival that lines up its own shots, and 2 players lets a friend take the other turns on the same screen. The table is open until the first ball goes down after the break, which gives each player a group, solids or stripes. Pot your whole group and then the 8 to win. A scratch, missing every ball or hitting the other group first is a foul and hands the other player ball in hand; sink the 8 too early or on a foul and the game is lost.
Rush is the solo mode against the clock. You get one minute and thirty seconds to clear all fifteen balls with the 8 last, every pot adds four seconds, and a scratch or an early 8 costs ten. Your best run, cleared with time to spare or the most balls potted, is kept on the device. Drag the table to aim and drag the power bar to shoot on a phone or with a mouse; on a keyboard the arrow keys aim, Space charges a shot while held, and T switches to a top view of the table.
Start with Play vs CPU to learn the table before you take a friend on in 2 players. The aim guide is your best tool: the white line is the cue ball's path, the orange line is where the object ball goes, and the short grey line is where the cue ball rolls after contact. Turn the aim until the orange line points at a pocket, then shoot with only as much power as the ball needs, because a hard shot that misses leaves the cue ball anywhere. Hold Shift while dragging, or use the arrow keys, when a shot needs a precise angle, and press T for a top view when the balls are spread out and you want to see the whole table.
After the break the table is open, so the first ball you pot decides your group. Pick the group with the easier shots, not the first ball you see. When you have ball in hand after a foul, place the cue ball where your next shot is straight. In Rush the order matters less than the pace: every pot adds four seconds and a scratch or an early 8 costs ten, so take the easy balls first, keep the 8 for last and never gamble on it while other balls are still up.
8 Ball Rush has three modes. Play vs CPU and 2 players are 8-ball, and Rush is a solo race against the clock. In 8-ball the table is open after the break, and the first ball that goes down gives each player a group, solids or stripes. Pot your whole group and then the 8 to win the game.
To take a shot, aim from behind the cue ball. The guide shows three lines: the path of the cue ball, the line the object ball will take and the cue ball's roll after contact. Then pull the power bar down and let go, and the cue strikes. A scratch, missing every ball or hitting the other group first is a foul, and the other player gets ball in hand, which means they place the cue ball where they like. Sinking the 8 too early or on a foul loses the game.
In Rush you have one minute and thirty seconds to clear all fifteen balls with the 8 last. Every pot adds four seconds, and a scratch or an early 8 takes ten away. With a mouse or a finger you drag the table to aim and drag the power bar to shoot. On a keyboard the arrow keys aim, you hold Space to charge and release to shoot, and T switches to the top view.
8 Ball Rush is a 3D pool game made by Kiloo, the Danish games studio in Aarhus, as a new game for the browser. It is played on a nine-foot tournament table with blue cloth and six pockets under an overhead lamp, and the balls roll, bounce off the cushions and drop into the pockets much as they do on a real table.
The game suits anyone who likes a quiet game of pool as well as players who want a quick challenge. The aim guide makes it easy for a newcomer to see where each shot will go, while the full 8-ball rules with fouls and ball in hand keep a game against the CPU or a friend honest. Rush turns the same table into a race, where clean, quick potting matters more than safety play, and your best run is kept on your device so you have something to beat next time.
Yes. 8 Ball Rush is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account needed. Your best Rush run is kept on the device you play on, so you can try to beat it later.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you drag the table to turn the aim, pull the power bar on the right down with your finger and let go to shoot, and tap the table to set the cue ball when you have ball in hand. On a computer the mouse works the same way, and the keyboard aims with the arrow keys and shoots with Space.
Rush is a solo race against the clock. You start with one minute and thirty seconds to clear all fifteen balls with the 8 last. Every ball you pot adds four seconds, while a scratch or sinking the 8 too early costs ten. The run ends when the table is clear or the clock reaches zero.
Yes. The 2 players mode is 8-ball for two people on the same screen, taking turns with the same mouse, keyboard or touchscreen. The plaques at the top show whose turn it is, which group each player has and which balls are still on the table.
8 Ball Rush uses the full 8-ball rules. The table is open after the break until the first pot sets the groups, solids or stripes. Pot your group, then the 8. A scratch, missing every ball or hitting the other group first is a foul that gives ball in hand, and an early 8 loses the game.
8 Ball Rush was made by Kiloo, the games studio from Aarhus in Denmark that co-created Subway Surfers with SYBO Games. It is a new browser game built by the Kiloo team, free to play on holdtheketchup.com.

Nine holes, windmills and water

Solo or two players on one screen

Sixty seconds, one hot hand

Bend it over the wall

Hook it into the pocket

Time the swing, clear the wall

Tuck, launch, lean, telemark

Draw, breathe, release

Steady the hand, let it go

Find the rhythm, clear the barriers

Flip, ramp, orbit, multiball

Bump, set, smash

Pick your corner, guess the dive

Smash every brick

Items, drifts and eight karts

Zero gravity, full throttle

Drop, match, grow the melon

Hop the road, dodge the train, ride the log

Step right up and pop a cork

Tap the cars out of a packed lot
