Blot is a spilt drop of ink that learned to bounce. Steer left and right as it hops up an endless sketchbook page, landing on pen strokes, coiled springs and paper clips while ink blots and a red ballpoint scribble monster try to end the drawing.
Did you like Ink Hop?
Ink Hop is an endless vertical hopper drawn entirely in pen on cream notebook paper. Blot bounces on its own, so the only thing you control is which way it drifts: touch or drag the left and right halves of the screen, or use the arrow keys. Every line you land on is an ink stroke with a wobble that redraws itself eight times a second, so the whole page quietly boils under you while you climb. Your score is the height you reach, counted in ruled lines and written in the corner in the same handwriting as everything else.
Not every stroke will hold you. Solid lines are safe. Dashed lines snap after one bounce and flutter away. Some lines slide from side to side, some ride up and down on a paper clip, and eraser strokes are rubbed out and re-inked on a loop, so you have to land on the half that still has ink. Coiled scribble springs throw you half a page upward at once. Red stars are worth picking up, a pencil jetpack drives you straight through anything in your way for a moment and a little ink umbrella turns a fall into a drift. Miss everything and you drop off the bottom of the page; touch a floating ink blot, a paper tear or the scribble monster and the drawing ends there.
Every five hundred lines the page turns. The sheet lifts and sweeps across, and a new one is underneath: school notes give way to a recipe page with coffee rings, then squared maths paper, then a travel journal held together with torn tape. Each has its own ruling, its own stains and its own marginalia — doodles, tally marks, half-finished sums and things somebody wrote in the margin and never came back to. Get it wrong and the whole page crumples into creases, and all that is left is a torn note with your score on it and the words try again.
Blot bounces on its own in Ink Hop, so all your attention goes on where it lands. Solid lines are the only ones you can fully trust. A dashed line snaps after one bounce, so treat it as a stepping stone and be ready to move on straight away. Sliding lines and lines on paper clips need a moment of timing, and eraser strokes keep being rubbed out and redrawn, so aim for the half that still has ink.
Springs throw you half a page up at once, which is great for height but can carry you into trouble, so check what is above before you use one. Red stars are worth collecting, the pencil jetpack pushes you through everything for a moment, and the ink umbrella slows a fall into a drift. The real danger comes from ink blots, paper tears and the red scribble monster, since touching any of them ends the drawing. Small, early corrections to your drift are safer than big last-second swerves. Every five hundred lines the page turns to a new theme.
Yes. Ink Hop is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account needed. Start bouncing, and when the drawing ends, press Space to try again straight away.
Yes. Ink Hop is made for one thumb: tap or drag on the left or right half of the screen to steer Blot. On a computer you use the arrow keys or A and D, P pauses and M mutes the sound.
Solid lines always hold you. Dashed lines snap after one bounce, sliding lines and lines on paper clips move, and eraser strokes disappear and come back on a loop. Coiled scribble springs throw you half a page upward.
Your score is the height you reach, counted in ruled lines and written in the corner of the page. Every five hundred lines the page turns, taking you to a new theme such as a recipe page or squared maths paper.
