Biplane dogfights above the clouds

Drive a hover-tank round a neon arena and fire laser bolts that bounce off metal walls up to three times. Bank them round pillars into bots that shoot back, reflect, shield and chase, and keep clear of your own ricochets on the way back.
Did you like Ricochet Arena?
Ricochet Arena is a top-down shooter about the shot that goes nowhere near the target. Your hover-tank fires laser bolts that bounce off metal walls up to three times, and a thin aim line shows where the first bounce will land, so the skill is reading angles: off the top wall, round the pillar and into the back of a bot that thought it was safe. Glass walls let bolts straight through but stop tanks, angled mirrors turn a shot round a corner, rotating mirrors click round every few seconds, and one-way gates let a bolt into a vault but never out again. Once a bolt has bounced it can hit you too, so a quick dash is often the smartest move in the room.
Every bot asks a different question of your brain. Patrol bots trundle back and forth and shoot straight at you, mirror bots fling your bolts back the way they came, shield bots are only open from behind, spinners fire rings of bolts, and hunters simply chase you down. Each wrecked bot pops into a shower of cartoon cogs and nuts. Thirty hand-built arenas across three zones, the Slate Yard, the Mirror Works and the Hunter Grid, get trickier as you go, with a boss every tenth arena: a turret fortress that only banked shots can hurt, a mirror maze core hiding behind a ring of spinning mirrors, and a pack leader with an armoured nose that charges across the floor.
Clear an arena for a star, finish on par for shots for a second and take no damage for a third; a defeat only ever sends you back to the start of that arena. Survival throws endless waves of bots, power-ups and bosses at you for a high score, and the Daily arena builds a fresh room every day. Play with mouse and keyboard, a gamepad, or two thumb sticks on a phone, where the arena turns to fill the screen in portrait.
Ricochet Arena is about angles, so make the aim line your habit. It shows where the first bounce lands, and from there you can picture the rest: off the wall, round the pillar and into a bot from the side it is not watching. Bolts bounce off metal walls up to three times and pass straight through glass, while angled mirrors bend a shot round a corner. Rotating mirrors click round every few seconds, so wait for the angle you want before you fire.
The most common mistake is forgetting your own shots. Once a bolt has bounced it can hit you too, so after firing into a tight room, be ready to dash out of its path. Learn what each bot needs: mirror bots send your bolts back the way they came, shield bots are only open from behind, which is where a banked shot earns its keep, and hunters chase you, so keep moving. Three stars need a clear, par for shots and no damage, so get a clean clear first and come back for the rest.
Yes. Ricochet Arena is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account to create; press Play and your hover-tank is in the first arena, ready to start bouncing bolts off the walls.
Yes. On a phone the left stick drives, the right stick aims and fires when you let go, and DASH dodges. The arena turns to fill the screen in portrait. On a computer you use mouse and keyboard or a gamepad.
Clearing an arena earns one star, finishing on par for shots earns a second and taking no damage earns the third. A defeat only sends you back to the start of that arena, so you can retry a room as often as you like.
A boss waits every tenth arena: a turret fortress that only banked shots can hurt, a mirror maze core hiding behind a ring of spinning mirrors, and a pack leader with an armoured nose that charges across the floor.
Aim, fire and clear the sky, the sea and the stars.
