Jump and slide on the beat

Tap chunky pastel cells to build a loop for four little musicians, then put your ears to work: thirty Echo puzzles play a tune and you rebuild it note for note, with a Free studio and a Daily Jam for when you just want to make music.
Did you like Melody Maker?
Melody Maker is a friendly sixteen-step sequencer with four instrument rows and a mascot on each: Pip the bird sings the lead across eight notes of a pentatonic scale, Bo the whale plays bass, Lulu the octopus plays chords and Tum the bear keeps the rhythm on kick, snare, hat and clap. Tap a cell to place a note, tap a coloured key to change its sound, press play and a bouncing ball runs along the grid while the band bobs on every note. Because the scale never has a wrong note, anything you tap in sounds musical.
Echo is the puzzle half and a gentle brain workout: thirty quick levels in five sets, from a single heartbeat on the kick drum to a full band at 120 bpm. Each one plays a short tune and you rebuild it by ear, and by eye, since every note lights up on its cell as it plays. Listen again whenever you like; after two listens the tune's cells appear as ghosts to guide you. A level clears the moment your loop matches, with stars for fewer listens and less time, and nothing ever fails, so it is a calm way to relax and train your ear. Every note has a visual cue on the beat, so the whole game plays fine with the sound off.
The Free studio is yours: set the tempo and the swing, pick one of four scales and a sound for each row, chain up to eight bars, keep six songs in save slots on your device and swap a short share code with a friend to load the loop in another browser. A Groove Score rates any loop for rhythm variety, melody shape and harmony, and the endless Daily Jam hands everyone the same starting loop each day, seeded by the date, to remix as far as you can push it, with today's high score kept on your device and a fresh remix whenever you want one. Every sound is made in your browser as you play.
In the Echo puzzles, Melody Maker rewards patience more than speed. Stars come from fewer listens and less time, so on the first play watch the grid as well as listening: every note lights up on its cell, which tells you both the row and the step. Build one row at a time, starting with the drums or the bass, then add the lead on top. If you are stuck, press L again; after two listens the tune's cells appear as ghosts, and since nothing ever fails you can always finish the level that way.
In the Free studio the scale has no wrong notes, so experiment freely and press Z to undo anything you do not like. The Groove Score looks at rhythm variety, melody shape and harmony, so a loop with a mix of busy and quiet steps, a melody that rises and falls and chords underneath gives it more to like than a single repeated note. Save a song you like in one of the six slots before you start a new idea, and in the Daily Jam remix the shared starting loop step by step rather than clearing it.
Yes. Melody Maker is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account to create. Your six song slots and the Daily Jam high score are kept on your device, and every sound is made in the browser as you play.

Each of the thirty Echo levels plays a short tune, and you rebuild it on the grid by ear and by watching the cells light up. Press L to listen again whenever you like. After two listens the notes appear as ghosts, and the level clears as soon as your loop matches, with stars for fewer listens and less time.
Yes. In the Free studio you can swap a short share code with a friend, who can then load your loop in another browser. You can also keep up to six songs in save slots on your device, each up to eight bars long.
Tap, strum and drum in time with the beat.

Jump and slide on the beat

Hit the arrows, own the floor

Play back the bird's tune on a rainbow xylophone

One-button rhythm platformer

Catch the falling notes, sing the song

Hold the chord, strum on the beat

Tap the falling piano keys in time

Tap the lanes, ride the beat

Watch the band, then play the beat back

Bubble-blast through five seas

Seven letters, two minutes

Tap a group, watch the board crumble

Line up five, keep the board clear

Link the dots, close a square

Spot what changed

Read the brief, style the client

File, polish and sparkle ten tiny nails

Style a collection, then walk the show

Design a print, press it onto anything
