Ease the brake, stop on the mark

Drive across a little cartoon town to the stranded car, reverse until the hook meets its front, then tow it home on a swinging hinge and back it into the garage bay without a single bump.
Did you like Tow Truck?
Tow Truck is a top-down driving game about the most satisfying job in town. A yellow tow truck waits at the garage, and each of the forty jobs puts a stranded car somewhere on the map: a flat tyre by the river, a van stuck at the end of a cul-de-sac, a hatchback halfway up the steep lane, a breakdown in the middle of the bridge. Drive over, reverse until the hook zone meets the car's front, press hook, and the car lifts onto a visible hinge behind you.
Then the real driving starts. The towed car follows like a trailer: it swings wide on corners, cuts in on tight turns and jack-knifes if you reverse too sharply, and a hard bump can shake it off the hook, so you line up and hook it again. Bring it back through narrow streets, past parked cars, roadworks and cones, and finish by reversing it nose-out into the garage bay. Now and then a family of ducks crosses the road, and you wait for them.
Every job is quick, a minute or two, and earns up to three stars: no bumps, under the par time, and never coming off the hook. Later jobs send you out for two cars at once, at night with only your headlights and the street lamps, or in the rain, where braking takes longer. Your stars, best times and high score for every job are saved in your browser. Arrow keys or WASD drive and Space hooks; on a phone or tablet you steer bottom-left and use the pedals and the HOOK button bottom-right.
In Tow Truck the hard part starts once the car is on the hook. The towed car behaves like a trailer, so take corners wider than you would on your own, otherwise it cuts in and clips the kerb or a parked car. Reverse slowly and in small steering movements: a sharp turn backwards makes it jack-knife.
Bumps cost you the no-bumps star, and a hard one can shake the car off the hook, which costs another star and means lining up again. Slowing down before narrow streets, cones and roadworks is usually quicker in the end than recovering from a mistake. When you reach the garage, line up straight before you start reversing so the car goes into the bay nose-out without a correction. If ducks are crossing, stop and wait for them. On rainy jobs leave extra room to brake, and on jobs with two cars plan the route back before you set off.
Yes. Tow Truck is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account needed. Your stars, best times and high score for every job are saved in the browser you play in.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you steer bottom left and use the GAS, REV and HOOK buttons bottom right. On a keyboard the arrow keys or WASD drive, Space hooks, R restarts the job, P pauses and M mutes.
Reverse up to the stranded car until the hook zone meets its front, then press Space or the HOOK button. The car lifts onto the hinge behind your truck. Press the same button again to let it down.
Each job gives three stars: one for no bumps, one for beating the par time and one for keeping the car on the hook the whole way. Wide corners and slow, gentle reversing help with all three.
Park, deliver and steer through traffic.

Ease the brake, stop on the mark

Steer, reverse and park in 40 car parks

Tap the cars out of a packed lot

Slide the cars, free the red one

Tap the lights, keep the town moving

Forty routes, every stop on time

Haul the crates over the hills

Pick them up, drop them off, beat the clock

Plough, sow and harvest every tile

Items, drifts and eight karts

Zero gravity, full throttle

Listen to the notes, trust the slide

Drop, match, grow the melon

Flip, ramp, orbit, multiball

Hop the road, dodge the train, ride the log

Three wheels, three laps, no manners

Steady the hand, let it go

Step right up and pop a cork

Slide, curl and sweep to the button
