Crack thirty mechanical puzzle boxes

A cosy detective logic puzzle told in pictures: read the clue cards, cross out what cannot be true, tick what must be, and bring the big red stamp down on the case.
Did you like Case Closed?
Case Closed turns the classic logic grid into a cosy little mystery. Somebody in town has the missing cake, the swapped umbrella or the lost kitten, and it is your job to work out who. Each case has three to five suspects in distinct hats, each with a pet in tow, a row of places along one street, the things they were carrying and, in the harder cases, the hour they were there. The clues are picture cards instead of sentences, so there is almost nothing to read: a green link means two things go together, a red cross means they do not, blue arrows mean one was further left along the street, a split card means one of two, and a clock with +2 means two hours later.
Tap a square once to cross it out and again to tick it. With auto cross switched on, a tick clears the rest of its row and column for you. When every suspect has a place and an item ticked, and a time in the bigger cases, press Solve and the stamp comes down. Forty cases climb through four tiers, from three-suspect Rookie grids to Master cases with five suspects and the clock. Every case is generated from a seed and checked by a solver that only uses plain step-by-step deductions, so each one has exactly one answer and never needs a guess.
Stuck? A hint fills in one safe square and lights up the clue card that proves it, three per case. Stars reward a quick finish without hints, your best times are kept in your browser, and a fresh daily case waits every day. It is a gentle brain workout you can relax into: no lives and no fail state, just the satisfying moment the last tick falls into place. Play with a mouse, the keyboard or touch; on a phone, tap the big grids to zoom in.
Case Closed never needs a guess, so if you feel stuck, there is a clue you have not fully used yet. Start with the green links and red crosses, which tell you directly what goes together and what does not, then work through the blue arrows about who was further left along the street, the split cards and, in the harder cases, the clock cards. Cross out generously: knowing what cannot be true is often the quickest way to the one thing that must be.
Switch on auto cross so a tick clears the rest of its row and column for you, and use undo when you mark the wrong square. Start with the Rookie cases to learn the picture clues before moving up towards the Master cases with five suspects and the clock. A hint fills in one safe square and lights up the clue card that proves it, which is a good way to learn, but stars reward a quick finish without hints.

Yes. Every case is generated from a seed and checked by a solver that only uses plain step-by-step deductions, so each of the forty cases has exactly one answer and never needs a guess.
You get three hints per case. Each one fills in one safe square and lights up the clue card that proves it, so you see why it is right. There are no lives and no fail state, but hints cost you stars.
