Locked Room
Twelve rooms, one key at a time

Wake up on a small tropical island and find your way home: explore eight painted scenes, combine what you find, trade with a parrot and lash together a raft to sail away.
Did you like Island Escape?
Island Escape is a point-and-click adventure on a small tropical island. You wake up on a sandy beach with nothing but a friendly green parrot for company, and the only way home is a raft you will have to build yourself. Eight hand-painted scenes join up around the island: the beach, a palm grove, a rock pool, a waterfall, a windy cliff top, a dark cave, an old shipwreck and a hidden cove. Tap the arrows at the edge of a scene to walk, and once you find the map in a bottle you can hop straight back to anywhere you have been.
Tap anything to look at it or pick it up, then use what you carry on the world around you. Tie a vine to a stick and you have a fishing rod; cut open a coconut with a sharp shell and you have a bowl. Feed the hungry crab, carry water from the waterfall to the fire that blocks the cave, flash a mirror at the big blue parrot on the cliff and trade it a fresh fish for the key around its neck. Count the turtle eggs to open the chest, turn the totem faces to match the old cliff carving, then lash logs, rope, sail and rudder into a raft and head for the sunset. Every clue is a picture, a colour or a count, so it is a proper little brain teaser that never asks you to read a wall of text.
There is nothing to fail and no clock that runs out: relax and explore at your own pace, or race the par time for a quick three-star escape. Three hints make the next useful thing glow, a wrong guess never uses up an item, and the parrot keeps you company with two-word comments. Your progress saves itself after every step, with a chapter checkpoint at each big moment, so you can stop for dinner and pick up right where you left off.
Island Escape rewards looking closely more than moving fast. Click everything in a new scene before you walk on, because most puzzles need something you found elsewhere on the island, and the clues are always pictures, colours or counts rather than text. When you are stuck, try dragging one item onto another: a vine and a stick, or a coconut and a sharp shell, turn into something new. A wrong guess never uses up an item, so experimenting costs nothing.
Pick up the map in a bottle as soon as you can, since it lets you hop straight back to any scene you have already visited instead of walking there with the arrows. Keep the three hints for real dead ends; each one makes the next useful thing glow. If you are after three stars, you need a quick escape inside the par time. If not, forget the clock entirely, because nothing can fail and your progress saves itself after every step.
Yes. Island Escape is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account needed. Your progress saves itself after every step, with a chapter checkpoint at each big moment, so you can stop and pick up where you left off.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you tap to look and take, drag the scene to look around and pinch to zoom. On a computer you click, drag one item onto another to combine them, press H for a hint and Esc to close a close-up.
There is nothing to fail and no clock that runs out, and a wrong guess never uses up an item. If you cannot see what to do next, one of the three hints makes the next useful thing glow, and the parrot keeps you company along the way.
There are eight hand-painted scenes: the beach, a palm grove, a rock pool, a waterfall, a windy cliff top, a dark cave, an old shipwreck and a hidden cove. You walk between them with the arrows, or jump around with the map in a bottle once you find it.
