A knight, a mage and a bard set out across a storybook map to visit the Slime King, and a ranger joins them on the way: turn-based battles with a clear turn order, fire and ice that really matter, and every number shown before you choose.
Did you like Slime Saga?
Slime Saga is a classic party RPG shrunk down to quick, cheerful chapters. Kit the knight, Mira the mage and Bo the bard walk a winding map through the Meadow, the Marsh, the Mountain and the Sky to the Slime Castle, and Rue the ranger joins them in the Marsh. Every chapter has a town with an inn, a shop and a training yard, four battles along the path, two side chests and a boss at the end, from the grumpy Big Cap to a very bashful Slime King.
Battles are turn based and easy to read. A bar at the top shows who acts next, and each hero picks Attack, a Skill, an Item or Guard. Before you confirm, the damage, the heal or the hit chance is printed over every target, so it is all about using your brain: fire bonks ice slimes and grumpy mushrooms for double, ice cools fire slimes down, metal slimes shrug off swords but not magic, and bats dodge swords but never Rue's arrows. Mira casts Fire, Ice, Flame and Frost, Bo heals and sings Rally and Chorus, Kit shields the party with Wall. Monsters poof when they lose, and heroes who faint are back on their feet at the inn.
Heroes level up with clear stat gains and new skills, and the coins from battles and chests go on better blades, wands, lutes, bows, coats and charms in each town's shop. The saga saves itself after every move, even in the middle of a fight, so a reload carries on from the exact same turn. Beat the Slime King and Saga+ starts the map again with tougher monsters, or take the party into the quick battle Arena for endless waves and a high score. Tap, click or use the keyboard: arrows and Enter, number keys for commands, Esc to go back, P to pause and M to mute.
Slime Saga shows you every number before you commit, so use it. Before confirming an action, check the damage, heal or hit chance over each target, and glance at the bar at the top to see who acts next. Weaknesses matter more than raw strength: Fire does double to ice slimes and grumpy mushrooms, Ice cools fire slimes down, metal slimes shrug off swords but not magic, and bats dodge swords but never Rue's arrows. Pick the right hero for each monster instead of having everyone attack the same way.
Keep Bo ready to heal when the party runs low, let Kit's Wall shield everyone in longer fights, and remember that Guard is a choice too. Spend the coins from battles and chests in each town's shop on better gear before heading down the path, and pick up the two side chests in every chapter. Heroes who faint are back on their feet at the inn, so a lost battle is not the end. Once the Slime King is beaten, try Saga+ for tougher monsters or the Arena for a high score.
Yes. Slime Saga is free to play in your browser on Kiloo, with nothing to download and no account needed. The saga saves itself in your browser after every move, even in the middle of a battle, so a reload carries on from the same turn.
Yes. On a touch screen you tap a glowing spot on the map, then a command, then a target. On a computer you can click with the mouse, or use the arrow keys and Enter, with the number keys 1 to 4 for commands and Esc to go back.
Kit the knight, Mira the mage and Bo the bard start the journey, and Rue the ranger joins them in the Marsh. Mira casts Fire, Ice, Flame and Frost, Bo heals and sings Rally and Chorus, Kit shields the party with Wall, and bats cannot dodge Rue's arrows.
Beating the Slime King starts Saga+, which takes the party round the map again with tougher monsters. You can also take your heroes into the Arena, a quick battle mode with endless waves and a high score to chase.
