A 3D game puts you inside a world you can see from any angle. Instead of a flat screen of sprites, you drive, run, sled and fight through levels with depth, so the camera follows you round bends, over ramps and across arenas. For a long time that meant a download, but these games are built to run straight in a web browser.
The 3D games on Kiloo cover racing, sledding, fighting, a party obstacle course, a tank arena, a lane battle and a slicing game. Most are short-round games: a race, a three-minute match or a single run that you can finish in a break. Seven of them are Kiloo's own and run on the site, against computer rivals. Bullet Bonanza and Fields of Fury are online multiplayer shooters where you play against other people. So is Warbands, a team shooter of its own.
If you want something easy to pick up, Snow Rider is an endless sled run down a moonlit mountain: steer round the trees and snowmen, jump the stumps and logs, and spend the gifts you collect on new sleds, from a Red Racer to a bathtub. Smash Champs - Sliced turns the Smash Champs arenas into a slicing game, where you swipe through the balls, leave the bombs alone and travel from arena to arena. Monster Party Rush lines up forty monsters on an obstacle course, and you run, jump and dive past sweepers and pistons to finish in the top 24.
For racing and battles, Rocket Racers puts four cars on eight tracks, with missiles, mines and nitro in the crates and new cars and paint to earn. Tank Headz is a three-minute free-for-all for four cartoon tanks on a sunny island, with power shots and gadgets on the pads. Smash Champs Arena is a one-on-one fighting game with six champs, light and heavy hits, dodges and a three-level super. Kingdom Clash is calmer to start: you place six unit cards as buildings, and each one keeps sending its unit down the lane towards the enemy castle.
If you want to play against other people, Bullet Bonanza is an online multiplayer shooter with funky animal characters, and Fields of Fury is a Second World War capture-the-flag shooter where you choose a role. Warbands is a team shooter of its own, with loadouts and a soldier you kit out yourself.
On a computer most of these games use WASD or the arrow keys to move and Space to jump. The three shooters add the mouse to aim and shoot, R to reload and Esc to release the mouse cursor. Rocket Racers uses Space to fire an item, Smash Champs Arena puts its attacks on the keys 1 to 4 and also works with a gamepad, and Kingdom Clash and Smash Champs - Sliced are played with the mouse.
On a phone or tablet, Tank Headz and Monster Party Rush give you a thumb stick and buttons, Snow Rider steers when you hold the left or right half of the screen, Rocket Racers has steering arrows, pedals and a FIRE button, and Sliced is a swipe of a finger. Hold the phone sideways for Smash Champs Arena and Fields of Fury, which gives you a thumb stick, a fire button and a drag to look around. Warbands is held sideways too, with on-screen buttons to aim, jump, crouch and reload.
Yes. Every 3D game here is free to play in your browser, with nothing to download or install and no account needed. In Kiloo's own games your progress, coins and best scores are kept in the browser you play in. Bullet Bonanza and Fields of Fury are free too. So is Warbands.
Yes, all of them. All ten work on phones, with touch controls such as a thumb stick, on-screen buttons or a swipe. Smash Champs Arena, Fields of Fury and Warbands are played with the phone held sideways.
Snow Rider is the easiest place to start: you only steer and jump, and a run takes a minute or two. Smash Champs - Sliced is just as quick with a mouse or a finger. If you want a race, try Rocket Racers, and if you like a party game, Monster Party Rush.
Yes, in the three online multiplayer shooters. Bullet Bonanza lets you open a private match for friends with in-game chat, and Fields of Fury has private arenas. Warbands is a team game where two sides fight over the flag. Kiloo's own 3D games are played against computer rivals, such as the three tanks in Tank Headz.
Smash Champs Arena works with a gamepad: X is a light attack, Y a heavy one, B the special, A jumps, LB dodges and RB fires the super. The other 3D games are played with a keyboard, a mouse or a touch screen, so check the controls on each game's page before you start.
