Clockwork Keep
Overclock the brass, hold the tower

Crew stone-age towers with spear-throwers, boulder catapults, tar pits, fire braziers and drum totems, and hold a painted cave village through twelve hand-laid valleys of raptors, triceratops and a roaring T-rex.
Did you like Dino Ridge?
Dino Ridge is a chunky prehistoric tower defence. A dusty trail winds out of a red-rock canyon, forks around fern islands and ends at a cave mouth covered in painted hand-prints. That cave is your village, and everything with claws wants in.
Five towers, three tiers each, all crewed by cavefolk in fur with bone pins in their hair. The spear hut throws fast and far and is one of only two things that can touch a pterodactyl; at tier three it throws two spears at once. The boulder catapult is slow but drops a rock with a wide splash that leaves whatever survives staggering. The tar pit pours black tar down every stretch of trail it can reach, slowing anything that wades in and making it burn far hotter. The fire brazier sets one dinosaur alight and the fire jumps to whatever is packed in beside it. The drum totem never attacks at all, it just beats time and speeds up every tower around it, and at tier three one roll of the drum sends a raptor pack running back down the trail.
Raptors come in packs of five and always take the wider branch, so a fork is never a free lane. Triceratops charge straight through tar. Pterodactyls ignore the ground entirely. An ankylosaur will smash a tar pit flat unless you have taken it to tier three. A brachiosaur shrugs raptors off its back every time you hurt it, dinosaur eggs hatch mid-trail if you leave them alone, and the T-rex roars every few seconds to knock your towers silent for two full seconds — and shrugs off most of what you throw at it unless you have lured it into the tar first. On the Lava Ridge valleys the volcano erupts on a timer and drops glowing rocks onto your tower spots, and you have to tap them clear before you can build again. Twelve valleys with fifteen to twenty-five waves each, a boss every fifth wave, three stars for a flawless defence, and an endless valley once you have earned it.
In Dino Ridge the tar pit is the tower everything else leans on. It slows whatever wades in and makes it burn far hotter, so a fire brazier beside a tarred stretch of trail is a strong pairing, and the fire jumps between dinosaurs packed close together. Most importantly, the T-rex shrugs off most attacks unless it has been lured into tar first, so have tar on its route before the boss waves. Take tar pits to tier three where ankylosaurs walk, or they will smash them flat.
Only two things can touch a pterodactyl and the spear hut is one of them, so spread spear huts along the route. Raptors come in packs of five and always take the wider branch of a fork, which tells you where to build. Do not leave dinosaur eggs alone on the trail, because they hatch. Put drum totems among your busiest towers, since they speed up everything around them. Towers sell back for seventy per cent, so moving a badly placed one costs little. On the Lava Ridge valleys, tap fallen rocks clear quickly so you can build again.
Yes. Dino Ridge is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account to create. Choose a valley and start building towers to keep the dinosaurs out of the cave village.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you tap a spot on the trail, then pick a tower to build there. On a computer you click instead, and the keyboard adds shortcuts: 1–5 picks a tower, Space calls the next wave and F doubles speed.
The T-rex roars every few seconds and knocks your towers silent for two full seconds, and it shrugs off most of what you throw at it. The answer is tar: lure it into a tar pit first, and your towers can then do their work.
On the Lava Ridge valleys the volcano erupts on a timer and drops glowing rocks onto your tower spots. You have to tap the rocks clear before you can build on those spots again, so keep an eye on the timer and clear the spots you need first.

Overclock the brass, hold the tower

Hold the trail, hold the town

Guard the queen, comb by comb

Hold the keep, wave after wave

Hold the ring, deck by deck

Keep the porch light on

Guard the cove by sea and sand

Sweet towers, sour invaders

Freeze them, shatter them, hold the igloos

Drop, match, grow the melon

One letter a rung, all the way up

Seven letters, one sweet centre

Hop the road, dodge the train, ride the log

Step right up and pop a cork

Slide, curl and sweep to the button

Tap the falling piano keys in time

Hit the arrows, own the floor

Train all week, win the tournament

Run, jump, slide, don't stop
