Guard the cove by sea and sand

Carve jack-o'-lantern cannons, raise lantern posts and brew a witch's cauldron along a moonlit farm track, then hold the porch through fifteen waves of ghosts, skeletons and walking vegetables.
Did you like Pumpkin Patch Panic?
Pumpkin Patch Panic is a cute-spooky tower defence set on a Halloween farm at night. A dirt track leaves the graveyard gate up on the hill, winds down through the pumpkin patch, past the scarecrow field and the crooked barn, skirts a pond full of drifting fog and ends at the porch of your farmhouse. Nine hay-bale rings sit along it, and what you stack on them is all that stands between the harvest and whatever climbs out of the graves.
Five towers, three levels each. A Scarecrow is the cheap one: it never fires a shot, it just lets out a soundless BOO that slows everything in its circle. A Pumpkin cannon lobs an exploding gourd in an arc for ground splash. A Crow's nest sends crows to peck fast, and it is one of the few things that can touch anything airborne. A Lantern post throws a warm pool of light that reveals ghosts and widens the range of every tower standing in it. From wave six you can raise a Witch's cauldron, which flings a poison that keeps eating away after it lands and sends out a black cat to sit in the track and block one enemy at a time.
Shamblers are turnips that got up and walked. Skellies rattle past at a sprint. Ghosts drift half-faded and cannot be shot at all outside lantern light, unless the cauldron is watching. Gravediggers dig up two more Shamblers when they fall, and pumpkin golems split into a pair of sprouts. Every fifth wave the Headless horseman gallops in and throws a pumpkin bomb that snuffs your towers out for a moment, and wave fifteen brings the Night Witch on her broom, cackling and summoning ghosts as she flies. Candy comes from knockouts and from clearing a wave, calling the next wave early pays a bonus, and any tower sells back for sixty per cent. Twenty porch lights, three stars for a flawless night, and an endless run once the fifteenth wave is over.
Pumpkin Patch Panic is won by mixing towers, not by stacking one kind. Scarecrows are cheap and slow everything in their circle, so placing one near a Pumpkin cannon keeps enemies inside its splash for longer. Plan for ghosts early: they cannot be hit outside lantern light, so a Lantern post on a busy stretch of the track is essential, and it widens the range of every tower in its glow as well. Anything airborne needs a Crow's nest.
Watch out for the enemies that multiply. Gravediggers bring up two more Shamblers when they fall and pumpkin golems split into two sprouts, so make sure there is firepower further down the track too. Every fifth wave the Headless horseman briefly snuffs out your towers, which is why spare coverage pays off. From wave six the Witch's cauldron adds lasting poison and a black cat that blocks one enemy at a time. Calling a wave early earns bonus candy, but only do it when your defence is comfortably ahead, and remember that towers sell back for sixty per cent if you need to rebuild.
Yes. Pumpkin Patch Panic is free to play in your browser on Kiloo. There is nothing to download and no account needed; pick a hay-bale ring and start building your defence.
Yes. On a phone or tablet you tap a hay-bale ring to build and then pick a tower type, and tap a tower to upgrade or sell it. On a computer you click, use 1 to 5 to pick towers, Space to call a wave and F to speed up time.
Ghosts cannot be shot outside lantern light, unless the Witch's cauldron is watching. Build a Lantern post where they pass: its light reveals ghosts and also widens the range of every tower standing in it.
There are fifteen hand-tuned waves, with the Headless horseman every fifth wave and the Night Witch in wave fifteen. You have twenty porch lights, a flawless night earns three stars, and after the fifteenth wave an endless run begins.
Build, upgrade and hold the line.

Guard the cove by sea and sand

Sweet towers, sour invaders

Freeze them, shatter them, hold the igloos

Spears, boulders and tar against the dinosaurs

Overclock the brass, hold the tower

Hold the trail, hold the town

Guard the queen, comb by comb

Hold the keep, wave after wave

Hold the ring, deck by deck

Run, jump, slide, don't stop

Bounce up the page

Tuck, carve, send it

The floor is lava. Keep running.

Six tries, one word a day

Buy low, sail far, sell high

Crush the cars, nail the landing

Pair to thirteen, clear the pyramid

Tap in time, build to the sky

Aim, fire, pop the tub clean
